General descriptionConcept of building physics: thermal physics, acoustics and illuminance. Indoor climate. Thermal conductivity in stationary regime. Temperature field. Cold bridges. Identifying thermal resistance of perimeters. Humidity regime of an exterior perimeter. Humidity damages. Problems of thermal physics in renovation of buildings. Principles of building acoustics. Influence of noise to people. Sound defusion. Sound resistance of perimetres. Noise prevention. Principles and criteria of architectural acoustics. Acoustic structures designing rooms. Concepts of natural lighting. Evaluation and design of natural lighting of rooms.
General aimThe objective of the course is to learn and understand the most essential processes of designing indoor climate of buildings, and different fields of building physics: thermal physics, acoustics and lighting.
AimThe student after completing the course knows physical characters for the indoor climate of buildings and can perform thermal and humidity flow technical calculations of perimeter structures.
Form descriptionLectures, a seminar, independent work
