Learning outcomesStudents having passed the curriculum:
• have systematic overview of the basic professional terminology, theoretical principles, economic theories and research methods; understand the relationship between different economic fields and specifications of commerce; • analyse the problems concerning people, organisations, economy and society and find appropriate methods and technology to solve them; • have interpersonal and cooperation skills in sales, purchasing and marketing, and are able to find, manage and interpret information critically and creatively using ICT; • are able to explain professional problems in written form and in oral communication, and participate in professional discussions in Estonian and in one foreign language; • follow the principles of project and team work, demonstrate their leadership and supervision skills and adjust to changing situations; • use different sources of information, including financial and other reports to plan, analyse and prepare management decisions of sales, purchasing and marketing activities of a trading company; • show initiative and are active community members who are tolerant towards the diversity of attitudes and values, follow general legal rules and the basics of professional and business ethics.
