| The course provides an overview of how a new product is developed and introduced into an industrial company. |

| The course will give an overview of using theoretical principles in new product development and implementation in production via practical examples from field of technology. The course will provide an opportunity to increase the entrepreneurial capacity and to develop an understanding of specifics of academic background, practical entrepreneurship and engineering. |

Student:
• Understands and describes the product development process and its various stages and their interrelationships.
• Understands how to navigate and move from a theoretical background to practical application.
• Can list the basic principles of the product development process and methods and describe their practical application at different stages of the project.
