General description

The main categories and contemporary values of ethics. The significance of business ethics. Company's morals policy. The main ethic problems in the contemporary capitalist society. Ethics of market economy. Social responsibility. Ways of solving ethic conflicts. CompanyŽ s microclimate and main values. Ethics in customer relations. Legal and ethic aspects of competition. Ethic problems of information society. Ethic aspects of personnel selection. Cultural differences. Analysis of company's image, planning the required activities for improving it. The status quo of business ethics in Estonia and European Union.

Teaching methods: lectures, guided conversation, discussion, group work, vide analysis, conflict solving process, colloquium.
General aim
To provide knowledge and practical skills on business ethics and etiquette. The course enables the students to understand more deeply interpersonal relations and culture of behaviour. Students study how to create the image of the company through business culture and effective communication. The concept of social responsibility is analyzed.

Aim
After completing the course students are able to
- solve ethic dilemmas;
- behave in a responsible way;
- influence a company's success through favourable business culture;
- follow etiquette requirements in business communication,
- communicate in effectively;
- take public responsibility in the complicated contemporary society.
