The nature of public speaking and methods of making up a speech.
Methods of influencing. Plausibility barriers (stereotypes, conflicts of interests, mistakes etc.).
Persuasive speaking. Methods of increasing plausibility. Control of a psychological contact.
How to open up and overcome the fear of communicating.
Regularities of leading a conversation, meeting etc.
Stages of an official conversation. |

To increase the effectiveness of a speaker's communication skills.
To understand the structure of a credible and persuasive conversation.
To acquiring the principles of reports, presentations etc. |

| Aim |
After completing the course the student:
- can make, keep and end a psychological contact;
- is aware of the techniques of public speaking and can use them;
- knows the essence of demagogy;
- masters purposeful techniques of influencing people;
- is able to avoid the fear of public speaking. |

| Evaluation methods |
Assessment is based on participation in lectures and practical classes.
The final project is to make an argumentative and persuasive presentation on a chosen topic. |
