| General description |
The main relation between economics, technology and logistics. The role of transport in national
economy, main tasks. Modes of transportation, comparison. Assets (capital assets and floating
assets) in transportation - characteristics, structure, rating possibilities, usage, circulation.
Calculation of intangible assets. Planning and calculation the transportation of goods and
passengers. Calculation of material cost. Labor need, its calculation, planning wages fund. Working
efficiency, wage policy, wages setups. Production cost, classification. Price policy of shipment,
competition on the transportation market. Transportation net-cost calculation, affecting factors.
Main cost in providing public transportation service - pricing passenger transport, foreign impacts.
Company's main financial figures - profit, profitability, credit worthiness, assets usage efficiency,
Risks and cost-benefit. Bankruptcy and its forecast. Financial analysis tasks databases, analysis
modules. |

| General aim |
The objective of the course is to develop and verify economic knowledge on the base of logistics
and transportation mainly. The course teaches to associate economic fundamental notions and
economic terminology with transport sector. The main objective is to master the skills of planning,
calculating and analyzing, based on principles that are currently active in practice of transportation
economic. |

| Aim |
The student:
- commands specific terminology and associates it correctly with technology and economics.
- manages to refer different modes of transportation and determine their best usage.
- orientates in contemporary price policy and consequently is able to commit planning and
calculation of transport service as well as analyze production cost/ net-cost and determine material
cost.
- manages in labor need figures, is able to plan wages fund and use different wages setups.
- is especially well orientated in financial figures and manages calculating them, is able to perform
profitability calculations as well as forecast bankruptcy.

| Form description |
The course consists of theoretical lectures and practical classes. During the semester 3-4 tests are
planned and agreed with students in the process of course. Personal assignment and presentation
about examined project must be performed before final examination. |
