| During the course students will become familiar with the main land and water communities in Estonia: forest, meadow, marsh, lake, river, sea, and anthropogenic communities. Plant and animal species characteristic of these communities. Development of life communities in Estonia, the effect of human activity, issues of protection. |

| The objective of the course is to get an overview of Estonian plant associations ecology, biological diversity and biotas and protection as well as to develop the skill to connect the acquired knowledge with the field of study. |
