General description
Structure of an atom and the periodic system of chemical elements, their interpretation. Types of chemical bond, dependence of properties on the type of bond. Substances, materials, compounds and their separation ways. Classification of inorganic substances. Tasks of applied importance: mole calculations and percentage calculations. Chemistry of more important chemical elements, their environmental relation, redox reactions. Principal fields of physical chemistry: velocity and equilibrium, important viewpoints of thermo chemistry, colloid solutions.
General aim
The objective of the course is provide knowledge about theoretical regularities of general, inorganic, and physical chemistry, make theoretical generalisations, open their connection with processes taking place in nature and environment. To explain and learn to assess their impact.
Aim
Student:
- knows the regularities of general, inorganic and physical chemistry;
- can make a prognosis on their basis about the possible occurrence and range of natural and
environmental phenomena , forming hazardous symptoms and processes.
Form description
