| The general aim of the course is to give base knowledge of one part of technical mechanics – statics, which deals with forces and equilibrium. |

The student:
1. knows and is able to use the vocabulary and units that are used in mechanics;
2. is able to solve the equilibrium of forces;
3. is able to calculate support reactions for a structure in plane;
4. is able to construct diagrams of internal forces for statically determined bars. |
