General description
The subject of geodesy. The shape and size of the Earth. Levelling. Adjustment of the lines of levels. Computations in grid coordinates. Coordinates computations to a suspended point. A geodetic counter task.

In the theoretical part of the subject an overview is given about the instruments that are used at geodetic works - levels, theodolites, tapes, optical squuares, digital levels. The classification and construction of these instruments is dealt with. In practical classes is taught how to handle these instruments and also check and adjust them.

Cartographic signs.
General aim
The objective of the course is to give the students knowledge about the subject of geodesy, surveys that are carried out, survey units and survey errors. Detail net computations and levelling are dealt with thoroughly.

The objective of the course is to provide the students theoretical knowledge and practical skills at working with geodetic instruments (levels, theodolites, tapes, optical squuares). The students learn the construction of geodetic instruments, work methods at surveying, checking and adjustment.

The objective of the course is to learn the basics of designing plans and maps with the help of cartographic fonts, signs and colour teaching and practical implementation of cartographic material design.
Aim
Having successfully passed the course, the student knows the levelling technology and adjustment of levelling networks and can carry out the detail net computations.

After passing the course the student knows the construction of the main geodetic instruments (levels, theodolites, tapes, and optical squuares), masters work methods at surveying.

With instruments and can carry out the control and adjustment of these instruments.

Having passed the course, the student knows the signs, can design plans and maps and can analyse the maps from the design viewpoint.
Form description
Lectures, seminars, practical classes, group work, independent work.
