| Ways of fixing norms, projection and kinds of norms. Methods of quantity surveying and cost estimating. Instructions of building costs classification. Estimation of labour costs. Estimation of material costs. Estimation of transport costs. Overhead and profit of construction company. Value added tax. Practical work using a computer programme for cost estimation. |

| The course aims to provide students with the understanding of the documentation and budgeting process in coast estimation and standardisation |

After completing the course the student:
1. knows all building budgeting phases, is able to carry out best cost estimations depending on design phase and orientates procurement register environment;
2. is able to find and use the standards and catalogues for estimation;
3. is able to make a budget and calculate volumes, to establish pricing inquiries, general contracting, and time-payment plan;
4. is able to assess the budget´s actual costs and able to defend budget. |
