General description
Classification and development of total stations. Principle of electronic angle detection and ranging. Parts of a total station. Standards of total stations. Measuring instruments. Technological possibilities of total stations. Application of standard programmes Topcon GTS 225 (instrument adjustment, administration of data files, orientation on a known and free point of observation, prism point coordination, range and angle displacement and setting out a new point).
General aim
The objective of the course is to give the students an overview of total stations and their application possibilities in geodetic survey.
Aim
Having passed the course successfully the student:
- is able to carry out the most important work methods with a total station;
- can interpret the standard programmes of total stations, based on classical geodesy.
