General description
Machine tools characteristics, classification, and development trends. Machine tools major assemblies, drives kinematics , characteristics and accuracy. Machining center, their characteristics and assembly. The universal and modular fixture types and uses. Jigs design bases, the source schemes, the accuracy, design and the calculations.

General aim
The course aims at knowledge of machine tools, to understand their construction and technological opportunities and and evaluate the kinematics of machine tools and power-characteristics. Recognize different types modular and universaal fixture, and the ability to design specialized jigs.

Aim
The student knows the construction machine tools, its main assemblies of the head and actuator drives, knows machine tools technological characteristics and accuracy, able to solve production development plans through the selection of machine tools. Solves corresponding modular and universaal fixture to the machining centers. Knows how to design and calculate special fixtures.

Lectures, exercises, independent and group work. Comapnie vistis.
