General description
An overview of essence of programming modern CNC machine tools, different coordinate systems, classification of control systems and structure of NC program is given. Sentence construction and meaning of words in control program are introduced according to ISO standards. Also coding of control program is explained and typical schemes of machining in CNC lathe are shown.
Content of practical work: programming machining of different parts in Fanuc OT control system using standard cycles. Correcting of control program and simulating machining.
CNC control systems Fanuc 0M and MAHO are introduced. An overview is given on programming in absolute-, relative and polar coordinate system depending on possibilities of control system. Learning topics like control system of machine, cutting tool system, system of machined part and programming corrections. Also several other topics are dealt- programming cycles, corrections of cutting tool in machining of holes, subprograms and macros for repeated use, machining accuracy and surface roughness. Simulation of machining on PC. Structure of the company, which is orientated to use of CNC equipment.
Topic of practical work: programming machining of different parts in Fanuc OM control system using standard cycles.
