General description
Texts on speciality, reviewing, commenting and summarizing them orally and in writing.
Exercises on difficult constructions. Text-based grammar exercises.

Topics: Branches of economy. Engineering sciences. Technology and its developments (related to speciality). Work instructions and manuals. Occupational safety requirements. Speciality-related signs and symbols. Inventions, their role in the development of technology.
Other topics related to speciality.

Independent work: work with a dictionary, presentation on speciality (based on 10000 characters of German text).
General aim
Special purpose language course for the students of all curricula. The aim of the course is to develop the students' four components of language competence - listening, speaking, reading and writing skills through interactive and communicative activity and expanding their professional vocabulary.
Aim
After completing the course students are able to review the familiar texts, to make both oral and written summaries.
Students can develop a free conversation in German on familiar topics, make generalizations and give examples.
Students apply special vocabulary and are able to explain special terms both in his/her mother tongue and in German.
