General description
The characteristics of turning, drilling, milling, grinding and the cutting tools used with these processes; choice of cutting regimes and calculations. Solving technological tasks; the ways of compiling technological documentation.

General aim
The aim of the course is to learn principles of machining, the structure, application and materials of cutting tools, parameters and bases of machining technological processes. To learn different methods of machining, to evaluate the choice of cutting tools, to acquire the skills of discribing technological processes.

Aim
Student after completing the course distinguishes different machining methods and properties of cutting tools operation; is able to analyse and apply cutting regimes with different processing methods, to provide the accuracy of processing, to compile technological documentation.
