General description
Essence of welding. Division and marking of welding processes, welded seems and joints. Welding positions and marking according to the norms. Arc welding, welding power sources. Weldability of materials and the methods of its determination. Shielding gas, gas, resistance, plasma, laser and other welding methods. Welding of different metals. Brazing and soldering technology, division of brazing alloys, fields of application. Welding defects, the ways of decreasing internal stresses and welding deformations. Test of welding joints. Safety measures.
General aim
The aim of the course is to provide knowledge about welding like electric arc welding and other welding processes which are more used; about peculiarities and methods of welding of different engineering materials. Concurrent phenomena of welding, choise methodology of additional material and process parametres. Marking of welded joints on drawings.
Aim
Student after completing the course orientates in different welding technologies of different materials, knows the peculiarities of welding process and is able to choose a suitable jointing method as well as necessary additional materials to avoid concurrent deformations and defects.
