| Essence of law and division into legal branches, based on the character of legal relationships. General characterization of legal branches. Constitutional law, administrative law. Finance law. Labour law. Economic law. Civil law. Land law. Criminal law. International law. Building Act. |

| The objective is to provide theoretical knowledge about the legislative system in the Republic of Estonia. The basics in the implementation of the Building Code and Planning Act in practice. |

After completing the course the student:
1. has an overview of the legal system and knows the new legislation in the field of construction;
2. is able to orientate in legal acts and legislation of general application, knows where and how to find relevant information;
3. is able to determine the emphases of laws and acts. |
