| The aim of the course is to give students the basic knowledge of designing simpler steel structures and skills for the use of the respective standard documents. |

The student:
1. is able to use standard documents related to steel structures;
2. knows how to evaluate the resistance of cross-sections, buckling resistance and deformation of simple steel structures based on calculations;
3. knows the most common joints and connections of and knows how to construct simple steel structures;
4. knows the methods of ensuring fire and corrosion safety for steel structures. |
