| An overview of various factors dictating town construction: historical, economic, functional, social, ethnic, ecological. The problems of contemporary town construction - environmentally sustainable planning and the 21st century developments in town planning, their dependency on politics, self-initiative interest groups, ownership-related aspects. ArchitectŽs prospects in creating environmental space. Preliminary exam: Analysis of real urban space presented as a spacial solution; explanatory letter. |

| Students after completing the course have learned the methods of town construction analysis; have obtained an overview of combined effect of different factors which influence and shape the urban space like spacial, social, historical, functional and a lot others; obtain the experience and ability to observe environment and to use it in their creative work both in drawing up planning designs and 3D designs. |
