General description
The course gives a short overview about the main periods in the history of Estonian art. Art in times of old Estonia, Catholic period, Renaissance, Baroque, Classicism, the birth of Estonian national art and its development in the 20th century. Historical relations of art between Estonia and other countries. Introduction of the most important Estonian pieces of art and architectural monuments.
General aim
To introduce the history of Estonian art to the students of applied architecture.
Aim
Students after completing the course have acquired in-depth knowledge in the history of Estonian architecture and fine art.

Lectures, study visits for introducing architecture, visits to museums.
