General description
Electrical Safety Act and based on it the construction and operation principles of the power system safety devices. Materials and parts of the electricity supply system. Reading an electric project and learning the principles of compiling it.

General aim
The objective of the course is to give the students an overview of the basics of electric shock protection, wiring systems, used in electric installations, accessories, devices and protection equipment, as well as the design of these installations, electric drawings and electric installation works.

Aim
The student who has passed the course: - can read an electric project; - can compile a power system scheme of a private house; - knows the Electrical Safety Act and the requirements, based on it, for the construction and operation of power systems.

Form description
Lectures about theoretical basics of electrical safety, materials, used in a power system and parts of the system as well as construction technology of power systems and normative documents. In practical classes the problem tasks in the field of electricity supply project of a dwelling are solved. Independent work includes deepening of the lecture materials and supplementary elaboration of professional literature in order to take the prelim.
