| Checking and adjusting geodetic instruments - theodolites, levels. Founding a planimetric control. Tachometric survey of an area. As cameral works figuring out the coordinates and heights to the control points and compiling and formatting a plan of the area. Surface levelling and the construction of contours. A layout of the grade points with polar coordinates method. Layout of design heights. |

| The objective of the geodesy practice is to provide the skills of founding geodetic controls and tachometric survey as well as compiling an area plan. |

Having successfully passed the geodesy practice the students:
- can carry out basic geodetic works independently;
- can use geodetic instruments (theodolite, level);
- can compile an area plan. |

| Evaluation methods |

| The student has to take part in all training sessions. After the completion of all sessions, a practice report is compiled. The general geodesy practice is assessed on the basis of the practice report and individual questioning. |
