General description
Overview of the building history of wooden, stone and panel buildings and specific features of repairs. Examination and evaluation of the technical state of buildings, demolition works. Strengthening and repair of foundations and walls. Replacement and repair of water insulations and inserted ceilings. Renovation and repair of the thermal-humidity conditions of pents and flat roofs, repair of facades, renovation of large- panel buildings, concrete corrosion problems.
General aim
The objective of the course is to provide the students knowledge about the repair and renovation works of old buildings, their methods, processes that cause damages and main renovation solutions.
Aim
The student:
- knows the problems of different types of buildings that occur more often and
- knows the chemical-physical processes that cause these damages;
- can give an evaluation of a technical state and main renovation solutions.
