Curriculum: Industrial Technology and Marketing 2014/2015



Module Description
Humanities 15 ECTS credits, 12 ECTS credits compulsory courses, 3 ECTS credits optional courses.

Objective:
to introduce opinions and attitudes of science and politics in the field of the specialty and enable to acquire a special foreign language.

Learning outcomes:
student
- possesses the communication and teamwork skills and communication technologies;
- is able to understand the information about speialty in foreign language;
- can use the oral and written language in solving specialty-related problems and situations;
- is able to take part in professional conversations.
Mathematics, Sciences and Graphics 33 ECTS credits.

Objective:
to create a basis and provide basic knowledge about engineering subjects.

Learning outcomes:
student
- has acquired basic knowledge in sciences that are the base of engineering training;
- has acquired the base to continue studying on master level.
Speciality Core Subjects 26 ECTS credits.

Objective:
to enable the acquisition of professional basic knowledge and skills.

Learning outcomes:
student
- knows the basis of theoretical mechanics and strength of materials, is able to use them to calculate machine elements;
- is able to create kinematic diagrams, calculate and construct type elements and simple metal structures;
- knows and is able to use hydraulic and pneumatic components, has an overview of the basics of automation;
- knows and is able to use the normative documents.
Engineering Materials 30 ECTS credits, 20 ECTS credits compulsory courses, 10 ECTS credits optional courses.

Objective:
to provide knowledge about engineering materials and their use.

Learning outcomes:
student
- knows the most commonly used engineering materials, their characteristics, fields of use and special technologies of product manufacturing;
- is able to select suitable aggregation methods to the materials and knows the principles of selection;
- is able to choose different materials and technologies using various software;
- is familiar with the main lubricants, service liquids and engine fuels, their requirements and characteristics.
Production Technology 18 ECTS credits.

Objective:
to introduce production techniques and technologies used in the field of technology and the norms and standards.

Learning outcomes:
student
- has an overview of production techniques and technologies used in the field of technology;
- is familiar with the methods of processing and aggregating materials, equipment, blades and measuring techniques;
- is able to document the technological processes and is familiar with the standards in the field;
- knows the quality management principles of the field, is able to use professional language, implement safety technology and engineering ethics.
Economics and Business Administration 47 ECTS credits, 41 ECTS credits compulsory courses, 6 ECTS credits optional courses.

Objective:
to enable to get to know the basics and regulationsabout the functioning of economy.

Learning outcomes:
student
- has knowledge about the terminology and basics of economy, the universal principles and concepts of company;
- understands the modern macroeconomic trends and is able to analyze the economic behavior of market participants;
- understands the company´s economic model and the basics of management;
- knows the project management, is able to design a production unit, is able to plan and organize human resources.
Practical Training 36 ECTS credits.

Objective:
to enable to implement and control the acquired knowledge and skills in the work environment.

Learning outcomes:
student
- is aware of the company´s structure and management activities;
- is able to describe and analyze the business environment associated with the company;
- analyzes the company´s marketing activities and offers solutions;
- is able to use and drawn up normative documents in accordance with his or her official duties;
- possesses the communication skills and communication technologies required for work;
- participates in team management.
Working Life 20 ECTS credits, 16 ECTS credits compulsory courses, 4 ECTS credits optional courses.

Objective:
to enable the acquisition of the knowledge and skills that help to understand the operation of the organisation and support coping in it.

- has acquired the general knowledge, skills and attitudes to cope with the labour market;
- orientates in the labor laws.
Graduation Thesis 15 ECTS credits.

Objective:
to enable to apply the acquired knowledge and skills in solving a theoretical-practical professional problem.

Learning outcomes:
student
- has a systematic overview of the basic concepts of the speciality, knows the current problems in the technical field and application possibilities;
- is able to formulate speciality related problems and to analyze them and find different solution possibilities concerning modern technology possibilities and economic efficiency;
- possesses the communication skills and communication technologies required for work;
- can implement the acquired knowledge and skills in professional work.
