| Construction and Planning of Buildings |
40 ECTS credits, 38 ECTS credits compulsory courses, 2 ECTS credits optional courses.
Objective:
to establish knowledge in construction of buildings and the principles of design choosing effective and sustainable building materials and constructive solutions.
Learning outcomes:
student
- knows the principles of building design using different materials;
- is able to read and explain project drawings;
- can compile 2D and 3D drawings and apply the principles of BIM;
- understands processes and construction physics and is able to consider these when planning and constructing a building;
- is familiar with implementing the systems of heating, cooling, water, sewage, ventilation, electricity and automatics in buildings;
- knows the principles of energy efficiency and energy saving means;
- can analyze and process the information of the profession and related areas. |
| Construction Mechanics and Structures Design |
32 ECTS credits, 30 ECTS credits compulsory courses, 2 ECTS credits optional courses.
Objective:
to establish the fundamental knowledge of construction mechanics and designing structures.
Learning outcomes:

- is able to determine the stresses imposed on structures;
- is familiar with the fundamentals of buildings and facilities functioning as whole, and assuring the stability of these;
- knows the design standards, which are based on Eurocodes;
- can compile project drawings and explanatory reports. |
| Construction |
25 ECTS credits, 23 ECTS credits compulsory courses, 2 ECTS credits optional courses.
Objective:
to establish theoretical knowledge and practical skills in conducting and organizing construction works, and quality check on receiving works.
Learning outcomes:
student
- is able to use the theodolite and levelling instrument, and to carry out levelling data processing;
- can solve geodetic tasks related to construction;
- is familiar with the working principles of the main construction machines, their possible usages and can determine their productivity;
- knows the technologies of main construction processes and is able to compile a project for basic construction works;
- is familiar with the requirements of receiving a construction work and can estimate the quality of works;
- is familiar with the main requirements of safety technology and knows the risks in construction processes. |
| Economics and Business Administration |
22 ECTS credits, 22 ECTS credits compulsory courses.
Objective:
to establish general understanding of the basics and regulations of economy and principles of construction organizing.
Learning outcomes:

- is familiar with different stages of building along with the purposes and outcomes;
- knows the mainfunctions and content of project admiistration;
- is able to plan an organization schema for distinct construction biddings;
- can compose a general time scale for a construction project;
- is familiar with the content of bidding documentation and the principles of compiling these, knows the methodology of the organization of bidding questionnaires;
- knows the procedures of approval and commissioning;
- understands the basic methods of administration and can lead team work;
- is familiar with the formation of construction costs;
- is able to compose a general construction work budget for a building along with the calculations for time schedules. |
| Working Life |
