Objective:
to enable to understand the regulations and basis of the operation of economy; to provide the knowledge of the basic concepts of organisation management, management levels and the roles of a leader in an organisation.

Learning outcomes:
The student
- knows the regularities of micro and macro economics and the standards functioning in economy, and is able to apply them in practice;
- knows the basics, principles and methods of accounting;
- can analyse balance sheets and profit reports;
- understands the basics of company management;
- is able to envisage the economic activity of a company, calculate the costs and finance indicators, predict risks;
- is familiar with the basic concepts of management as a process, knows the most wide-spread management theories;
- can explain the leader’s roles in an organisation, the principles of formation of sub-divisions;
- knows the factors influencing organisation culture, teamwork, the basic principles of motivating people and management of changes;
- is familiar with international economy, including that of the European Union.
